Located in the South-West of the Iberian Peninsula, the province of Huelva has a privileged average of 3000 sunlight hours per year and
about 18ºC of temperature.
Its climate is Mediterranean, influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. The coast area has mild temperatures, with warm winters and hot (but
not too much) summers. The inlands and the Sierra have a mediterranean/oceanic climate, with a greater difference between Summer and
Winter, although frosts are very uncommon.
This geographical and climatic variety means that Huelva has a lot of different environments to enjoy, from its 122 kms of wide, long beaches
to its mountain range with quaint white villages or the Mining Area in the inlands, with its unique landscape and history.
Nature places are also a must in Huelva: more than a third of the province´s surface has any kind of protection: one National Park,
two Nature Parks, eight Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, four Nature Reserves, one Protected Landscape, two Green Belt Parks and
five Natural Monuments.
